My name is Haya Abou Daoud,

 

I am a proud Syrian – American, I graduated in 2022 from Georgia State University with a BIS in International Studies with a concentration in Entertainment Media Management.

 

In 2019, I chose to study abroad, living in London for a semester and completing educational credits toward my degree. During my time abroad, I was inspired to shift away from my initial educational track and join the interdisciplinary studies bachelor's program to design my unique degree pathway. Upon my return from across the pond, I reshifted my focus towards the entertainment industry and began building on my experience, while continuing my studies and expanding my global understanding.

 

When a global pandemic hit in 2020, I took advantage of the world slowing down and completed three additional educational programs, with Vogue and entertainment industry leader Endeavor. Additionally, I successfully earned three certifications with Fashion House LVMH, Cvent, and IBM. While classes remained online the following semester, I took this opportunity to join a 6-month internship program in Istanbul, Turkey, Supporting Al Furat Fair Organizers in organizing virtual events and preparing creative marketing content.

 

In 2021, the world began to shift back to normality, in-person classes resumed and I returned to Atlanta joining the "#1 NBA team in fan experience",the Atlanta Hawks as a Brand Ambassador on the brand experience and activations team, generating leads across Atlanta Hawks events and games. Furthermore, I landed my first freelance gig as a Talent Manager in which very shortly turned into managing and producing my first-ever runway show seating 300 guests and celebrities.

 

For my final semester of Undergraduate Studies, I chose to study abroad with a profound and transformative multi-country program called Semester At Sea. This was an extremely unique experience that built on my intercultural communication and understanding, instilling in me a love for travel and exploration. In 2022, my network expanded in ways beyond imagination as I continued to explore 24 countries and 43 cities filled with connections that will last a lifetime and continue to support me in my career.

 

After graduating at sea, I returned to Atlanta to kick start my career with Endeavors Creative Marketing Agency 160/90, joining their Event Production team for the summer. From there, I expanded my production career under the Endeavor umbrella as I joined their IMG Event Production team in NYC for New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2022. My first season was a roller coaster stepping into a Senior-Level role three hours before the first show kicked off. After a great first season, I returned to New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2023, working alongside the Director and Associate Producer of New York Fashion Week.

 

Following a crazy few weeks in NYC, I started a new chapter as I joined the 2023 Art Dubai Vip Relations team working alongside Regional Director Hala Khayat. During this time period the city, its people, culture, and industry inspired me to take a leap of faith and move to dubai. In april, i joined the gosha buro team as an event coordinator working with the majority of high-end jewelry & fashion brands in the region, as well as beauty, hospitality, and lifestyle brands. In 6 months time i was promoted into my new role as event manager. my new role has allowed me to continue to excel in my event production role and lead our team, while managing all brand and client relations related to gosha buro's new creative residence & venue. 

 

My job titles have ranged from Event Production Manger, Backstage Manager, Venue Manager and Talent Manager, to Vip Relations Coordinator and Brand Ambassador.  My experiences and the ability to quickly adapt to any role or environment have introduced me to parts of me I didn't even know existed and assured me I thrive and belong in this chaotically creative industry. I am open to all avenues this industry has to offer, and love the insanity that comes with it. I am very passionate about all I do, and I am always open to any opportunities to collaborate, grow, or even just network.
